The farmers protest has caught up a momentum in India after the violent clash between the farmer protesters and Delhi Police which took place on Republic Day and the other day. Following violent protest, Harayana government even banned the internet services for few days in few regions. Renowned celebs such as Rihanna and Greta Thunberg have posted about the protest on Tuesday. Now, Akshay Kumar has now put up his views on the ongoing protest.
“Farmers constitute an extremely important part of our country. And the efforts being undertaken to resolve their issues are evident. Let’s support an amicable resolution, rather than paying attention to anyone creating differences,” Akshay Kumar tweeted on his official Twitter handle. He posted this cryptic note reacting to the Anurag Srivastava’s tweet post wherein the Official Spokesperson from Ministry of External Affairs has issued a statement on the issue.
Suniel Shetty also took to his Twitter handle and shared a cryptic note reacting to the protest. “We must always take a comprehensive view of things, as there is nothing more dangerous than half truth,” read his post.
For the unversed, Anurag Srivastava shared a detailed statement after the global icons such as Rihanna and activist Greta Thunberg created a storm on social media with their Twitter posts. The statement from Ministry of External Affairs read, “Before rushing to comment on such matters, we would urge that the facts be ascertained, and a proper understanding of the issues at hand be undertaken. The temptation of sensationalist social media hashtags and comments, especially when resorted to by celebrities and others, is neither accurate nor responsible.”
