Akshay Kumar’s Prithviraj to CLASH with Kangana Ranaut’s Dhaakad on Diwali 2020

Akshay Kumar announced his upcoming film, Prithviraj, today on the occasion of his 52nd birthday which is set to hit the screens during the festive weekend of Diwali in 2020.  The film, which is a historical war-drama, will tell the story of the first battle of Tarain which was led by Prithviraj Chauhan.

The actor took to his Twitter handle and shared the teaser poster of the film. He wrote, “Elated to share about my 1st historical film on my birthday! Humbled to have the opportunity to play a hero I look up to for his valor & values- Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan in one of my biggest films #Prithviraj. Producer @yrf, director #DrChandraprakashDwivedi, releasing Diwali 2020.

Interestingly, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Prithiviraj’ will be clashing with Kangana Ranaut‘s action-drama ‘Dhaakad.’  Dhaakad is directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai. This movie will be Bollywood’s first to be spearheaded by a female actor. The actor plays a daring gun-wielding fighter in the film and had released a teaser last month.
