Bollywood superstar, Akshay Kumar is currently gearing up for the release of Hindi remake of Raghava Lawrence’s Tamil film, ‘Kanchana’. This horror-comedy was earlier titled as ‘Laxmmi Bomb’, however, after attracting a controversy over its title, the makers have now renamed it to ‘Laxmii’.
A section of society earlier slammed the makers over the title i.e. ‘Laxmmi Bomb’, which they claimed to be ‘derogatory’ and ‘offensive’ one. Ever since the producers released the trailer and the release the date for the film, it was in headlines over its title controversy. Respecting the sentiments of a section of people and their claims, the makers have now changed the title to ‘Laxmii’.
There were quite a few protest against the title of the of Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer. Reportedly, after receiving a legal notice, the makers have now changed the name. The Khiladi Kumar will be seen portraying the role of a transgender in ‘Laxmii’. And it is slated to be released on OTT streaming giant, Disney+ Hotstar VIP on November 9. The film is being helmed by Raghava Lawrence, who had directed the original film and it is being produced by Cape of Good Films, Tusshar Entertainment House and Shabinaa Entertainment.
