Akshay Kumar at HT GIFA launch talking about his Bollywood Journey so far

Akshay Kumar opened up at the grand launch of HT GIFA. Delhi NCR biggest neighbourhood football tournament. The launch was lately held in New Delhi. The actor went back to the time and contemplated his life. The actor who has given ten box-office hits spoke about his Bollywood career.

“There was a time when I had 14 flops and I believed my career was over. I was dejected, but it was my training as a martial artist that came handy. It teaches you discipline,” the Khiladi actor said, “It was my learning from the 14 flops that helps me deliver hits today.” he added.

The Mission Mangal actor will next be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Housefull 4 which is all set to release in theaters this Diwali. Besides Akshay Kumar the cast also includes Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol, Rana Daggubati, Riteish Deshmukh, Chunky Panday, Saurabh Shukla, Johnny Lever, Jamie Lever, Pooja Hegde.

“It’s a scaled-up film, the biggest in the franchise in terms of budget. The chunk from the Baahubali era that required visual effects was shot much in advance. A team is working on the final edit and VFX,” a source said.

Akshay Kumar who is also known for his best comedy in film such as playing the role of Dr. Aditya Shrivastav in the hit film Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hera Pheri, will now be seen again doing comedy in Housefull 4. During the trailer launch, he said, “I am going to lose all the respect I have earned with serious cinema with Housefull 4. Every time I want a break, I do a Housefull film. It is a fun film; I have fun on the sets. Having said that, making people laugh with slapstick is the toughest of jobs.”
