The ‘Bell Bottom’ actor, Akshay Kumar is making headlines after the reports go viral that he has filed a defamation suit against a YouTuber for accusing him with some serious allegations in Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The superstar is said to have filed the defamation suit worth Rs. 500 crore.
A latest report by Mid-Day states that a YouTuber named, Rashid Siddiqui had alleged Akshay Kumar of helping Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Apparently, the latter had claimed that the star was not happy since Sushant Singh Rajput got ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’. The report further mentions that the YouTuber had posted content related to the late actor and he even earned Rs. 15 lakhs in just four months period from the videos. This 25-year-old YouTuber is from Bihar and he runs a channel on YouTube called FF News. Ever since he began making videos on the late actor, his subscribers also grew from 2 to over 3 lakh in just few months.
Talking about such defamatory posts on social media and people who are involved in this, a senior IPS officer told the portal that, “The actor’s death was used as an opportunity to earn money as people were curious about the case. Once the media started reporting different theories, YouTubers too grabbed the opportunity and started posting fake content. They maligned Mumbai police’s image and earned money during the lockdown.”
