India is witnessing a steady rise in the number of Covid-19 positive cases with each passing day. The government is doing its bit to help the people in the time of the crisis. To help make the diagnosis process more efficient, PM Narendra Modi took to his Twitter handle to urge the citizens of India to donate in order to ‘strengthen disaster management capacities and encourage research on protecting citizens’.

He tweeted, “Let us leave no stone unturned to make India healthier and more prosperous for our future generations.” Also, he gave the options to donate. Among the Bollywood celebs, Akshay Kumar was first to come forward to contribute Rs 25 crores from his savings to PM-CARES Fund. He tweeted, “This is that time when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crores from my savings to @narendramodi ji’s PM-CARES Fund. Let’s save lives, Jaan hai toh jahaan hai. ??”.
