On March 31, former ‘Bigg Boss 7’ contestant Ajaz Khan, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after 8 hours of interrogation in connection with a drug case, after which he was moved into custody till the 3rd of April. On Monday, it has been reported that he tested positive for the novel Coronavirus and has been moved to the hospital.
News agency ANI tweeted as: “Actor Ajaz Khan, who was arrested by Narcotics Contro Bureau (NCB) in a drug case, has tested positive for COVID-19. He is being shifted to a hospital. The officer involved in this probe will also undergo COVID test: NCB”

Ajaz’s name cropped up during the interrogation of arrested drug peddler Shadab Batata. The agency said it had found alprazolam tablets from his residence during searches in the city’s Andheri and Lokhandwala areas. On Tuesday, he was served notice at the Mumbai airport by the officials of NCB upon his arrival from Rajasthan and then brought to the NCB office for questioning.
Later, when Ajaz was been taken for medical tests, he spoke to the reporters after his arrest and said that he was innocent. He stated that nothing has been found at his residence, except for four sleeping pills which his wife has been taking, as she had a miscarriage and was under depression.
