Apple’s AirPods Pro launched on Monday. The Pro is a superior AirPods version that provides added features such as active noise cancellation, sweat and water resistance with an in-ear design. AirPods Pro is available for pre-order in the US. The shipping will start from 30 October with the product priced at $249.
It offers four-and-half hours of listening time on a single charge with noise cancellation active. The user also gets 3.5 hours of talk time in a single charge. Around 5 minutes of charging provides about an hour of listening or talk time.
Apple revealed the devices had an H1 chip that, “features 10 audio cores and powers everything from sound to Siri”. Th vital feature to come along with the Pro is its active noise cancellation. Apple says pro uses “two microphones combined with advanced software to continuously adapt to each individual ear and headphone fit” for active noise cancellation.
The AirPods Pro also provides an adaptive EQ that, “tunes the low- and mid-frequencies of the music to the shape of an individual’s ear — resulting in a rich, immersive listening experience” according to Apple.
The noise cancellation feature can be disabled using the transparency mode. It is useful when users need to hear ambient noises like oncoming traffic etc.
AirPods Pro require Apple devices running on iOS 13.2 or later, iPadOS 13.2 or later, watchOS 6.1 or later, tvOS 13.2 or later, or macOS Catalina 10.15.1 or later.
AirPods Pro India launch date
Apple has not yet announced a release date for the AirPods Pro in India, only stating that it will arrive ‘soon’. The price for it in India is set at ₹24,900. The previous AirPods can now be bought for ₹14,900 with charging case while the wireless charging case bumps the price up to ₹18,900.
