‘Adipurush’: Anushka Sharma To Portray Sita In Prabhas Starrer ?

Just recently, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli have treated their fans with the good news of expecting their first child. The couple made the announcement on social media handles and surprised everyone. The mom-to-be actress had been making quite a buzz for her next films, however, she had not confirmed anything so far. According to the latest reports, Om Raut who is directing the Prabhas starrer ‘Adipurush’ has approached her for a prominent role in the film.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, a source informed them that, “Anushka Sharma is the top contender for the role. Om met and narrated the whole idea to Anushka and she was blown away by his vision. In fact, their meeting had a very positive outcome and it will most likely be her playing Sita on screen.”

The film set in the backdrop of ‘Ramayana’, the makers has earlier revealed that Saif Ali Khan would be portraying the role of ‘Ravana’, the Prabhas is being starred as Ram. There were quite a lot speculations about who would be the leading lady of the film, however. now the makers wants to cast Anushka for the role.

Anushka was last seen sharing the screen space with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in ‘Zero’ and she recently marked her debut as a producer. The actresses pregnancy due date is in January next year. As of now, she has not announced anything about her maternal leave.
