Kaanchi actress Mishti Mukherjee passes away due to renal failure in Bengaluru
Actress Mishti Mukherjee of Kaanchi and Manikarnika fame passed away on Friday, October 2. The actress who was suffering from a kidney-related disease breathed her last in Bengaluru where she resided. She was just 27 years old and was also said to be on a keto diet.
A statement issued a day later said, “Actress Mishti Mukherjee who marked her brilliance in many films and music videos with her ace acting is no more. Due to the keto diet, her kidney failed in Bangalore and she breathed her last on Friday night. The actress suffered a lot of pain. Unforgettable and unfortunate loss. May her soul rest in peace. She is survived by her parents and brother.”
Mishti marked her Bollywood debut as a lead actress in Subhash Ghai’s 2014 release, Kaanchi: The Unbreakable. She also featured in a special appearance dance number in the 2013 release Main Krishna Hoon. Mishti was also a part of Great Grand Masti, Begum Jaan, and Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi. She was also a part of Bengali and Telugu projects, and music videos.
Her last rites were performed by family members on Saturday.
