Abhishek Bachchan’s 2018 AD shows reality of today’s world; Watch

The deadly Coronavirus has hit the world in the worst manner and due to this, people have started working from home, whereas, children have started online classes as people are not allowed to step out due to the restrictions in order to stay safe. Amidst this, an old advertisement featuring Abhishek Bachchan is doing rounds, which perfectly sums up the current COVID-19 situation.

The throwback video by the mobile network operator company, Idea, showcases Jr Bachchan as the principal of a school worrying about how he can teach the children of the rural areas in one school. Later, he gets an idea and sets up a mobile phone in the rural parts and connects it to the phone, in which, the teacher talks to students through the phone, and even the kids that stay in the rural areas manage to listen through the loudspeaker option on the phone.

A Twitter user, Vintage Bollywood, posted the ad with the caption, “12 years old ‘Idea’ AD has become a reality…#AbhishekBachchan #idea #distantlearning #muvyz #muvyz052721 @juniorbachchan (sic).”

According to the YouTube page of Idea,  “This latest ad from IDEA highlights the power of Mobile telephony to address the socially relevant theme of education. The thought-provoking ad campaign has Abhishek Bachchan playing the head of an educational institution. When challenged by the traditional, physically bound classroom methodology that prevents reaching out to many more who are in need of education, he uses mobile telephony to overcome the barrier.”

Abhishek Bachchan is yet to respond to the tweet, but it surely is relatable in today’s world.
