Having an ensemble cast is always an added benefit for a film. DNA reports that Abhishek Bachchan and Ileana D’cruz have been roped in for the sequel of ‘Life in a metro’. DNA quoted a source saying, “Anurag has launched Ileana and they share a good rapport. So, it’s no surprise that he approached her for this film. She is equally excited for this. However the paper work is yet to happen. Abhishek Bachchan is too being considered for the film and Anurag has given him the narration. He has liked the script.” He further added, “Anurag Basu is currently working on the final edit of the script and simultaneously is also locking for a suitable cast. The makers are aiming to release the movie sometime in July-August next year. But the release date isn’t final yet.
Director Anurag Basu took to Twitter to share the problems with casting an ensemble cast and tweeted, “Casting of an ensemble cast film can only be locked after securing combination dates of all the actors. Bohut mushkil kaam hai, sab ke calendars ek saal ke liye full hain. Aur mein ghode pe sawar hun. Will keep you posted. Final cast will be announced soon.”
The 2007 film was directed by Anurag Basu himself. The film narrated the story of nine people living in Mumbai and dealt with issues like extra-marital affairs, love, heart breaks and modern-day struggles in an urban life.
