Actor Abhishek Bachchan hinted to his ‘Happy New Year’ co-stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and director Farah Khan that it was time to make a sequel of their 2014 hit. Abhishek was one of the funniest characters in 2014 flick. The actor known for his wit tweeted to Shah Rukh and Deepika, requesting them to get back.
Bachchan Junior posted a picture of a vehicle with ‘Nandu’ written on it in Hindi. ‘Nandu’ was the ‘Guru’ actor’s character name in ‘Happy New Year’, which also starred Boman Irani, Sonu Sood and Jackie Shroff.

Directed by Farah, Happy New Year brought Shah Rukh and Deepika together for the third time. The film told the story of a heist at a hotel in Dubai. It was released in three languages — Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu — across 4200 screens in Hindi and 800 screens in Tamil and Telugu
On the work front, Deepika is currently working with Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak, Shah Rukh Khan is yet to announce any project. Abhishek has been busy shooting for Anurag Basu’s directorial. The yet untitled film is touted to be an action comedy and also stars Rajkummar Rao, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra, Pankaj Tripathi, and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
