Abhijeet Bhattacharya is one of the finest singers of his time. He has worked with leading singers like Kishor da, Lata Ji and Asha Bhosale. He has sung many songs for Shah Rukh Khan also.
He recently made headlines when he told India Today, “I made superstars with my voice. Till the time I sang for Shah Rukh Khan, he was a rock star. When I stopped singing for him – and I stopped singing for him – he came down to Lungi Dance.” But this time, it’s not Shah Rukh Khan but Salman Khan at the gunpoint. It seems that Abhijeet is upset with Salman Khan for giving a chance to Pakistani singers. He said that why does Salman Khan get only Pakistani singers to sing in his movies and are Indian singers not enough? He even went on to say that Pakistani artists need to be restricted from working in the Indian film industry.
Times Now quoted him saying, “Why does Salman Khan only get Pakistani singers to sing songs in his films? Are Indian singers not good enough to sing in his movie? Pakistani artists need to be restricted from working in the Indian film industry. On one side these Pakistanis are killing our soldiers and on the other side Salman is hell bent on giving opportunities to Pakistani talent only.”
