Laal Singh Chaddha: Aamir Khan takes Painkillers to shoot his running sequences

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan — who is known as Mr Perfectionist for pro trying his character perfectly on the silver screen — is currently busy shooting for his upcoming movie, Laal Singh Chaddha. According to a report in mid-day, Aamir Khan was on a constant dose of painkillers as he had to lose 20 kg that he previously gained for a particular potion of the same film.

The report claimed that Aamir Khan had been jogging 10 to 13 km every day across South Indian cities to shoot the remaining sequences. In order to do the same, Aamir Khan had to take a steady dose of painkillers. Notably, Laal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of Tom Hanks with Robin Wright’s “Forrest Gump, Robert Zemeckis” multiple Oscar-winning film which released in 1994.  

A source close to the tabloid said, “Aamir sir was shooting for a special sequence where he had to run across the country. The physical exertion was a lot due to the constant running, but we were on a fixed schedule. Aamir sir did not want to stop shooting since his bearded look had to be maintained throughout the sequence. So, he would consume painkillers and continue filming. This shooting schedule was on for around 10 days.”

 

“Aamir covered the whole of India for this portion, running in the heartlands of states in the North and South. He ended the shoot in Bengaluru,” the source added.

The role of leading actress will be played by none other than Kareena Kapoor Khan. Yes, Kareena will play his love interest while Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi is playing Aamir’s friend.

Written and Directed by Atul Kulkarni and Advait Chandan respectively, Laal Singh Chaddha is scheduled to hit the theaters on Christmas 2020.

Aamir is co-producing the Hindi adaptation along with Viacom18 Studios.
