On his birthday this year, Aamir Khan announced his next project ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ which is the official remake of the 1994 hit Forrest Gump. Aamir Khan will be seen playing the role, which was originally essayed by Tom Hanks. Mr Perfectionist has recently said that he will be shedding weight to portray young Laal Singh Chaddha.
As per the report in Hindustan Times Cafe, Aamir will be losing about 20 kgs to play the younger version of Laal Singh Chaddha and for that Mr Perfectionist is following a strict diet. Talking about it, a source said to the daily, “The actor follows a special diet consisting of sabzi roti and some protein intake. He will also undergo the training for his look after September. As of now, Aamir is involving himself in the overall creative aspects of the project.”
During a book launch event recently, the Dangal actor said that he has started preparing for his role as Laal Singh Chaddha is determined to lose 20kg. Speaking about the film, he added, “I play a young man in the film, so I need to lose 20kg. I have already lost three and a half kilos in two weeks under the guidance of Dr. Nikhil Dhurandhar.”
Aamir Khan is on a simple diet of dal sabzi and roti. His dietician has chalked out a different, customized diet plan for him for his international trips. Notably, Forrest Gump won six Oscars, including best picture, best actor for Tom Hanks, best director for Robert Zemeckis, and adapted screenplay, editing, and visual effects, too.
Laal Singh Chaddha is directed by Advait Chandan, who also earlier helmed Hindi film Secret Superstar. Kareena Kapoor Khan has been roped in to play the female lead. The film is set to hit the screens on Christmas 2020.
