Karan Johar Pens Heartfelt Note As ‘Student Of The Year’ Turns 9
'Student Of The Year' has clocked nine years since the release. Now, Karan Johar penned an emotional note.
‘Student Of The Year’ clocks nine years of its release today. The film marked the Bollywood debut of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Sidharth Malhotra.
It was directed by Karan Johar, based on a script by Rensil D’Silva and Niranjan Iyengar. It was produced by Yash Johar and Gauri Khan under the banners of Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment.
Today, as the film turns 9, Johar penned a heartfelt note on his social media. He shared a video montage and wrote: “October is just filled with gifts that keep giving – and #SOTY is one such! Not only does it continue to give everyone many tunes to break out in a dance or hum along, style that is timeless and for me, many many memories! But the ultimate gifts have been these three students, now superstars who keep on giving their absolute best to the field of cinema! Couldn’t be prouder and here’s to the film that started it all!❤️ #9YearsOfSOTY”

Rishi Kapoor, Sana Saeed, Ronit Roy, Sahil Anand, Ram Kapoor and Farida Jalal were also seen in the film. ‘Student Of The Year’ was one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2012.
