Khufiya: Tabu & Ali Fazal In Vishal Bhardwaj’s Netflix Film

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj is collaborating with actors Tabu and Ali Fazal for his upcoming film Khufiya. The spy thriller will premiere digitally on Netflix. It is based on an espionage novel ‘Escape to Nowhere’ by Amar Bhushan.

Vishal took to social media to share the good news with his fans. He wrote, “Justice gets personal.
I’m extremely thrilled to share Khufiya with you, a spy thriller inspired by true events. Coming soon, only on Netflix.”

Speaking to HT about his film Vishal said, “With Khufiya, my attempt is to create an edgy espionage film that contrasts the slow burn of intelligence & surveillance work with one’s deep-rooted emotional conflicts. It is my first web project and I am very excited about it.”

He added, “Tabu plays the role of the main protagonist who is running the mission. And whenever I see Ali in, I find him to be a very good actor, that’s why I choose to work with him.”

‘Khufiya’ is a #story about Krishna Mehra, an R&AW operative. A mole, and an estranged lover, with personal dilemmas he is assigned to track down India’s defence secrets. The movie also features Wamiqa Gabbi and Ashish Vidyarthi. The director is aiming to release it in the second half of 2022.
