RRR: SS Rajamouli to release Jr. NTR and Ram Charan’s film during Eid?
According to the latest reports, SS Rajamouli has decided to delay the release of RRR after film distributors request him. The decision was reportedly taken due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic restrictions
SS Rajamouli directorial, RRR is highly anticipated flick featuring Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan in the key roles. The makers recently treated fans with the first song, titled Dosti. It featured Jr. NTR and Charan’s onscreen bonding and was unveiled on the special occasion of Friendship’s Day. The film has been constantly in buzz for its ensemble cast. According to the latest reports, the makers now plan to delay the release to EID 2022. The filmmaker has apparently decided to delay the release on distributors request as they deal with several challenges amidst COVID-19 pandemic.
Although a few states have announced lifting up the lockdowns, there are still restrictions to public movements. There are still fears of COVID-19 spike in India, after health officials issuing alerts about Delta Plus variant. Apparently, film distributors feel they might not be able to execute movie in a grand way amidst several challenges imposed by pandemic. A source close to the development informs Bollywood Hungama, “SS Rajamouli understood their concern as the film has been sold at record prices across the nation. He doesn’t want any distributor to lose money and hence after multiple meetings with all stakeholders has decided to delay the film’s release from the already announced slot.”
As yet there is no official announcement on the release date of RRR. Earlier there were reports that the makers were planning to unleash the project by October this year. If these reports come out to be true, then Ram Charan and Jr. NTR fans would have to wait little longer to watch the film in theatres.
