Reportedly, the actress has demanded an apology and compensation of Rs 25 crores from the media outlets.
Shilpa’s plea reads as: “Eversince her husband Raj Kundra is arrested, these media houses and journalists through social media, electronic media, articles, websites are publishing information against her and her husband which are incorrect, false, malicious, and defamatory. The Defendants instead of publishing and reproducing the true and correct facts are focused on smearing her reputation day after day, week after week almost throughout each day by publishing the defamatory statements with an intention of sensationalizing news and increasing their readership/viewership and prejudicing the minds of the public against her and her husband during the pendency of the investigation and by clearly drawing attention to themselves by free-riding on the popularity of the Applicant and the Applicant’s husband in order to attract attention to themselves,” reported Times Now.
