Pearl V Puri breaks silence amid minor rape charges, issues statement
On Monday, 'Naagin 3' actor Pearl V Puri finally breaks his silence in the alleged rape and molestation case.
Pearl V Puri known for essaying the role of Mahir in the popular television show, ‘Naagin 3’ has been in the limelight for quite some time after he was arrested on June 4 for allegedly raping a minor by the Waliv police (Vasai) in POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences). After being in jail after 11 days, he was granted bail on June 15.
Now, the actor has finally broken his silence in the alleged rape and molestation case of a minor child. He also issued a statement on his official Instagram handle.
The statement read as: “Life has its own way of testing people! I lost my nani ma few months back, then on her 17th day I lost my dad post that my mother got diagnosed with cancer and then this ghastly accusation.”
“Last couple of weeks were gruelling for me like a nightmare. I was, overnight, made to feel like a criminal. All of this in the midst of my mother’s cancer treatment, it shattered my sense of security, making me feel helpless. I am still numb…but I felt it’s time to reach out to my friends, fans and well-wishers who’ve showered me with their love, support and concern.”
“Thank you for keeping faith in me and I am a firm believer of #Satyamevjayate. I trust in the Law, judiciary of my country & God up there. Please keep your duas coming!” he concluded.

The alleged victim’s mother has issued a statement claiming that Puri is innocent and that the whole case is false and that the case was filed by her estranged husband to get custody of their daughter.
Several celebrities like Karishma Tanna, Ekta Kapoor, Nia Sharma, Divya Khosla Kumar, Anita Hassanandani among others extended their support to Pearl amid the alleged rape charges.
