In this article, we will discuss how to join an instant meeting on the Zoom app. You can do this either from your laptop or from your mobile phone.

How to create Zoom account on phone:

  • Download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app.
  • Open the app and tap Sign Up to create a free account.
  • Enter your date of birth, email address, and name.
  • Then tap the circle next to I agree to the Terms of Service.
  • Next, tap Sign Up.
  • Then tap OK.
  • Check your inbox and open the email from Zoom.
  • Then tap Activate Account.
  • Enter your name and create a new password.
  • Finally, tap Continue

How to join a Zoom meeting on desktop:

  • Launch the Zoom app on your computer.
  • Open the Zoom desktop app and select the “Join” option from the app homepage.
  • Select “Join a Meeting” directly from the sign-in page.
  • You can enter your “Meeting ID or Personal Link Name.”
  • Then, click “Join.”

How to join a Zoom meeting on the website:

If you don’t have the Zoom desktop app, you can join a meeting by clicking the invitation link and, on the webpage that automatically opens. Select “Join from Your Browser.” Or, you can manually go to the Zoom website, select “Join a Meeting,” and enter the Meeting ID.

You can follow these steps to join a Zoom meeting:

  • Launch the Zoom app on your computer.
  • Click on the Sign In button to sign in with your existing account.
  • Once signed in, you can join an existing Zoom meeting by clicking on the Join button from the home screen

How to schedule a Zoom meeting on desktop:

  • Launch the Zoom app on your computer.
  • Sign in to the app using your existing credentials or make a new account.
  • On the home screen. you need to click the Schedule button to schedule a meeting.
  • The app will show you a pop-up screen that will let you enter the topic of your scheduled meeting, select an appropriate date and time, create a password, and select options to enable or disable the meeting for telephone or computer users.
  • Once you’ll fill in the details, you’ll have to the Schedule button to schedule your meeting.
  • You can also check all the upcoming meetings or access the recordings of your existing meetings by going to the Meetings tab.

How to join a Zoom meeting on the mobile app:

  • If you received an invitation link, which may have been sent to you via email or text, tap on it.
  • If you have the Zoom app downloaded already, the meeting should automatically open in the app.  If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, you can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
  • You will have joined the call on your mobile device, after providing audio and video access.

How to schedule a Zoom meeting on the mobile app:

  • Open the Zoom app and sign in.
  • Then tap the Schedule icon.
  • Enter the details of your meeting.
  • Select the calendar you want the meeting to be placed in.
  • Then tap Done to schedule the meeting.
  • Next, tap Invitees to add your contacts.
  • Finally, review the details and tap Add.
