South Korean show-Running Man fame Lee Kwang-soo bids farewell to the variety show after shooting for 11 long years. On his last day of shooting, he shares the heartfelt message with fans and the castmates
Lee Kwang-soo is one of the original cast of the South Korean variety show- The Running Man. After being a part of the show for eleven years, he bid farewell to the show on Sunday i.e June 13. According to the Korean media outlets, the episode saw the 35-year-old Lee initially meeting with the production staff to create a memorable race for the rest of the cast members. They shot for his last episode on the same location where he had shot for the first episode of Running Man.
It was in April this year, Lee made the shocking announcement of parting his ways with the reality show. The reason he stated to the fans was the ankle injury that has been apparently troubling him for a few years now. While talking about the emotional farewell, Lee apparently said, “Personally, I want it to feel like normal. That’s my honest feeling.”
“I wasn’t always great in the past 11 years, but I always did my best. Running Man is a show where everyone without exception does their best and throws their whole bodies into filming. I ask that people continue to show more love and interest in the future. I am so happy and thankful for the time we’ve shared,” he continued expressing his gratitude towards the castmates.
Lee’s agency reacting to his farewell to the variety show stated that despite receiving regular physical therapies, the actor “felt that it was difficult to maintain the top physical condition during Running Man filming”.
