Pearl V Puri has been arrested by the Mumbai Police. Now, former co-star, Anita Hassanandani extends support to him.
In a shocking turn of events, ‘Naagin 3’ actor Pearl V Puri was arrested by Waliv police in Vasai East on June 4 on charges of allegedly raping a minor girl.

Now, Pearl’s ‘Naagin 3’ co-star Anita Hassanandani reacted to the news and extended her support to him. Sharing a picture with him on her Instagram handle, she wrote: “Woke up to some nonsensical news bout @pearlvpuri I know him! It is NOT true … canNOT be true…. all lies. I’m sure there is more to it. And the truth will be out soon. Love you @pearlvpuri #ISTANDWITHPEARL.”

According to a report in Hindustan Times, Sanjay Patil, DCP Zone 2, Mira Bhayander Vasai Virar, said: “The incident is old but the 17-year-old minor victim complained to us along with her mother at the police station and we registered case under Section 376 (rape) of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act(POCSO) Act, 2012.”
Currently, Pearl is remanded in police custody by Vasai court.
The police said that it is an old case in which a minor girl had stated that Pearl had taken sexual favours from her by promising her a career in TV serials, reported the Times Of India.
Pearl V Puri made his acting debut in 2013 with the TV show, ‘Dil Ki Nazar Se Khoobsurat’ and rose to fame with ‘Phir Bhi Na Maane…Badtameez Dil.’ He was last seen on ‘Brahmarakshas 2’, in which he played Angad Mehra.
