BJP MP Ram Swaroop Sharma Found Dead, Suicide Suspected

A BJP MP from Himachal Pradesh, Ram Swaroop Sharma, was found dead at his residence in Delhi. The 62 years old was found hanging in his Delhi residence. He was taken to a hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The Delhi police investigating the case suspect suicide.

As reported by NDTV, Police officials said that Mr Sharma’s personal assistant alerted the police control room around 7.45 am. He did it after the parliamentarian did not respond to knocks on his door. A police team was rushed to his residence immediately. They forced open the door and found Mr Sharma hanging.

Born at Jalpehar village in Mandi district on June 10, 1958, Sharma was a two-time MP, elected in 2014 and 2019. Lok Sabha adjourned till 1 pm after the House paid tribute to BJP MP Ram Swaroop Sharma ex-MP Dilip Gandhi.
