WhatsApp’s Desktop App Gets A Video/ Voice Calling Feature
WhatsApp has added a new feature to its desktop app. This message sharing application has added a voice and video calling feature
Facebook-owned WhatsApp has been in the talks for being working on its new features. The message sharing application will now finally feature the voice/ video calling for its Desktop version application. This would surely be a treat for all the people who use WhatsApp on the PC. The app is yet to roll in the group video/ voice calling feature.
As revealed by the brand in its statement, WhatsApp will support both portrait and landscape orientations for the video or voice calling feature on the Desktop. The voice and video calls on WhatsApp Desktop would be end-to-end encrypted and the data would only travel from one device to another in an encrypted form to prevent snooping. Both the users from Mac or PC can use this feature and it requires the user to be already there on WhatsApp mobile. After installing the desktop app (from the WhatsApp website), users can scan the OR code to log in.
WhatsApp took to its official Twitter handle and shared the update with a statement attached to it:
Sometimes you just need a little more space. Secure and reliable, end-to-end encrypted voice and video calls are now available on our desktop app. Download now: https://t.co/JCc3rUunoU pic.twitter.com/PgCl76Mn7U
