Karnataka‘s Water Resource Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi is embroiled in a controversy. The minister faced the ire of the general public as a CD allegedly showing him in a compromising position with a woman went viral. A social activist Dinesh Kallahalli has lodged a complaint against the minister. He has accused the minister of harassing the woman on the pretext of getting her a government job. He also accused Jarkiholi of threatening the woman and her family of dire consequences.
Soon many news channels shared the controversial video clips showing Jarkiholi getting intimate with the unidentified woman.
Speaking to the media after filing a complaint, activist Dinesh Kallahalli said, “I have filed a complaint with the Police Commissioner against minister Ramesh Jarkiholi on the charge of s****l harassment against a young girl. This is a sensitive case. The family approached me to help them. They cannot fight this alone. They claimed the minister promised the girl a job in KPTCL but then he went back on his word and now they want justice.”
Ramesh Jarkiholi a powerful minister from the Belagavi region of North Karnataka said that the video is ‘fake’. He further added that it is a political conspiracy against him. The minister aims for an investigation to reveal the truth. He added that the culprits should be punished. Ramesh also said that he will resign from his post if the allegations are proved against him.
Bengaluru Central DCP Anucheth told media personnel that they have taken the complaint filed by the social activist. Anucheth further added that they will investigate the matter accordingly.
