Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rao starrer Jodhaa Akbar is one of the classic period film, which was helmed by ace filmmaker, Ashutosh Gowarikar. Today this magnum opus has clocked the completion of 13-years of its release date. Here we have got an interesting update about how the directed wanted to cast only female elephants for safety reasons and to save the cost of VFX. The directed wanted to cast 100 elephants reveals his wife, Sunita.
Remember epic fight scenes and songs from Jodhaa Akbar, wherein elephants appear with the star cast? We believe those were real elephants and producers didn’t completely to use VFX and thus these scenes were iconic. Sunita Gowariker in her recent video reveals about how the director was keen on only using female elephants. In her Instagram video post, she explained, how Ashutosh stood in front of hundreds of elephants calling out them by their names before shooting these scenes. For the unversed Hrithik Roshan took to his Instagram handle and shared about his fond memories from Jodhaa Akbar. “Man this movie was difficult . I was shit scared when Ashutosh Gowarikar offered it to me . Couldn’t understand how he could see someone like me commanding 10,000 soldiers. But then that’s what a director does . He envisions what you can’t . And that’s the reason I did the film,” he shared on in the caption of his post.
