Doctor G: Rakul Preet Singh steps in as Ayushmann Khurrana’s co star
Rakul Preet Singh has joined the cast of Ayushmann Khurrana's 'Doctor G' and will be playing the role of a medical student.
Rakul Preet Singh is currently shooting with Sidharth Malhotra and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Thank God.’ Now, the actress has signed another film, which is her first collaboration with Ayushmann Khurrana, with the film, ‘Doctor G,’ directed by debutante Anubhuti Kashyap.

The actress will be essaying the role of a medical student and will be playing the role of Ayushmann’s lover. Sharing her excitement about the film, she spoke to the Bombay Times and said that she is super excited to be a part of the film. Further, she said that she is thankful to Junglee Pictures and director Anubhuti Kashyap for bringing it together.”
Rakul also revealed that she was in love with the script the time she heard it and it is an interesting story, which revolved around the medical profession and set on campus. ‘Doctor G’ is set to provide a new perspective to the audience. Lastly, she said that she can’t wait to start shooting for the film.
Ayushmann will be playing the role of Dr. Uday Gupta, the actress will be seen as Dr. Fatima, a medical student who plays the ‘Vicky Donor’ actor’s senior in the film.
Earlier, Rakul was shooting for another project titled ‘MayDay’ that also featured Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. She also has her hands full with many other projects.
