K.G.F. Chapter 2: Yash, Sanjay Dutt starrer FINALLY gets a release date

K.G.F: Chapter 2 has been the talk of the town since its inception and fans have been excited to know the release date of the film. Now, the makers of the film have finally announced the much-awaited date and it’s July 16th, 2021 in theatres.

Earlier today, the makers shared that the release date of the second installment will be announced. The director wrote, “That promise will be fulfilled. #KGFChapter2 release date announcement today at 6:32pm. @TheNameIsYash @prashanth_neel @VKiragandur @hombalefilms @duttsanjay @TandonRaveena @SrinidhiShetty7 @prakashraaj @BasrurRavi @bhuvangowda84 @excelmovies @VaaraahiCC @PrithvirajProd”

Yash will be reprising his role, while stars like Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, and Raveena Tandon have joined the franchise. The period action film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur. The second installment of the two-part series is a follow-up to the 2018 film, ‘KGF: Chapter 1’, and the fans have been waiting to witness the story of the film continuing from the high point where it ended in chapter 1.

In the film, we will witness a face-off between the two characters- Sanjay’s Adheera and Yash’s Rocky. ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2’ was initially scheduled for theatrical release on 23 October 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the most expensive Kannada film with a budget of ₹100 crores, the film will be dubbed in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Hindi languages. The upcoming Pan-India film is being backed by Hombale Films.
