According To The Latest Reports, Tamil Nadu Government Has Now Allowed Movie Theaters To Have Its Full Capacity Screenings
The Coronavirus outspread has not been contained as of yet and the government officials have been working constantly to tackle the restrictions that are imposed by the pandemic. In a new development on Monday, the Tamil Nadu government has lifted the ban on hosting full capacity at the movie theaters. The cinema halls in the State will be now screening movies 100% capacity.
With the start of the New Year, Tamil Nadu becomes the first state to reopen its theaters to full capacity. Exhibitors state that its one of the best news in the post-pandemic times, as the cinema business was highly affected by the pandemic lockdown and restrictions. As per the state orders, “The seating capacity of Cinemas/theatres/Multiplexes shall be permitted to increase from existing 0% to 100% by following the Standard Operating Procedure issued already. Further, in order to create awareness among the spectators, the precautionary measures for Covid 19 shall also be screened during the showtime.”

Reportedly, the development comes after few actors and cinema association leaders request the state government to lift the ban.
Talking about the Coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu, the state has reported around 838 new COVID-19 new cases, while 985 discharges were observed on Monday. There were 10 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the State Health Department.
