The pandemic Coronavirus has affected several nations and the virus has not been contained globally as of yet. As per the new developments, the idea of a mutation in Coronavirus is breaking out into new strains and it is believed that it would speed up the spreading rate. As a precautionary measure, India now temporarily suspends flights from UK.
The government is fully alert about the new strain of Coronavirus, which is reported in the United Kingdom, said the Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Monday. However, he has also stated that ‘there’s no need to panic’. “The government is fully alert. In the last one year, as you all have seen, we took all necessary measures to ensure the safety of people. We’re aware of what all needs to be done. If you ask me, there’s no reason to panic,” Health Mister explained further.
As per a latest Tweet post by news agency, ANI, the Ministry of Civil Aviation stated that as a measure of abundant precaution, passengers arriving from UK in all transit flights (flights that have taken off or flights which are reaching India before 22nd Dec at 23.59 hrs) should be subject to mandatory RT-PCR test on arrival at the airports concerned. The suspension of the flights would last till December 31.
