Drug Case: NCB issues notice to Karan Johar over 2019’s viral party video
The Narcotics Control Bureau on Thursday issued a notice to filmmaker Karan Johar over his 2019’s viral party video
Karan Johar’s 2019 star-studded party was reported to be investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) as it was alleged that there was a consumption of drugs at his house party. Now, NCB on Thursday issued a notice to the filmmaker over his 2019 party asking for details of the party.
“The NCB had received a complaint from Manjinder Singh Sirsa in this regard and was marked to the Maharashtra Zonal Unit. To check the veracity of the video the notice has been sent,” the official told IANS.

Further, the official stated that KJo has not been told to appear before the drug-law enforcement agency. The agency has not yet confirmed if they have found any drug links to the filmmaker. The NCB has issued summons to the filmmaker to check the accuracy of the video under section 67(B) of the NDPS Act. 67(B) He has also been asked to send his reply and produce documents/electronic proof, with regard to his 2019 viral video.
The video was shared by the filmmaker and included Bollywood celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, and others were seen at the party.
Ever since Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020, NCB has been questioning many film personalities in connection with the drug cases related to Bollywood. Recently, Arjun Rampal was also summoned for a second round by the NCB to appear before them.
