Thalapathy 65: Vijay joins forces with Nelson Dilipkumar

Tamil superstar Vijay is all set to collaborate with Kolamavu Kokila director Nelson Dilipkumar for his 65th project. The movie titled Thalapathy 65 will be produced by Sun Pictures. This is Vijay’s and Sun Pictures fourth collaboration after ‘Vettaikaaran’, ‘Sura’ and ‘Sarkar’. The news was confirmed by the production house with a small video on social media.

Sharing the video, Sun Pictures wrote, “We are happy to announce Thalapathy @actorvijay’s #Thalapathy65bySunPictures directed by @nelsondilpkumar and music by @anirudhofficial #Thalapathy65 (sic).”

In the viral teaser, Vijay and Nelson Dilipkumar can be seen interacting with chairman and founder of Sun Group, Kalanithi Maran. A glimpse of machine guns and fancy cars hint that the movie is all set to be an action thriller.

Reportedly Thalapathy 65 will go on floors in mid-2021. The cast and crew of Thalapathy 65 will be finalised in the coming months.

On the work front, Thalapathy Vijay is waiting for the release of director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Master. Master also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in pivotal roles.

The film, produced by Xavier Britto, is expected to release on January 13, one day ahead of Pongal in theatres.
