Britain’s Prince William Tested COVID-19 Positive In April

Britain’s Prince William had tested Coronavirus positive in April this year. It is around the same time his father Prince Charles had tested COVID-19 positive. The news was shared by British media late on Sunday, citing Kensington Palace sources.

As reported by SUN, Queen Elizabeth’s grandson and third in line to the throne kept his diagnoses a secret. This was done because he did not want to alarm the nation.

The newspaper further added, William was treated by palace doctors and also followed government guidelines. He had isolated himself at the family home Anmer Hall in Norfolk. William carried out 14 telephone and video call engagements during April.

As reported by sources to The Sun, “William was hit pretty hard by the virus – it really knocked him for six. At one stage he was struggling to breathe, so obviously, everyone around him was pretty panicked.”

The palace was not immediately available for comment late on Sunday.

William’s father, Prince Charles had tested positive on March 25 for the coronavirus. The heir to the throne had self-isolated at his residence in Scotland for seven days with mild symptoms.

The United Kingdom, which has the highest official Covid-19 death toll in Europe. It is grappling with more than 20,000 new cases a day as the country is hit by the second wave of the Pandemic. Prime Minister Boris Johnson is contemplating a lockdown for the country once again.
