James Bond actor Sean Connery dies at 90
Sean Connery known for the role of James Bond passes away 90.
Sir Thomas Sean Connery, the Scottish actor best known for his portrayal of James Bond, was the first to bring the role to the big screen and starred in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983, passed away at 90, reported BBC.

According to the report, his son Jason said that Sir Sean passed away peacefully in his sleep, while in the Bahamas, and was been “unwell for some time”, “We are all working at understanding this huge event as it only happened so recently, even though my dad has been unwell for some time. A sad day for all who knew and loved my dad and a sad loss for all people around the world who enjoyed the wonderful gift he had as an actor.”
Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon mourned the passing of the actor and wrote, “I was heartbroken to learn this morning of the passing of Sir Sean Connery. Our nation today mourns one of her best loved sons.”

Sean Connery is survived by his second wife, painter Micheline Roquebrune, and son Jason Connery.
The actor won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. He was also voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1989 and the “Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999.
