Shraddha Kapoor to play Naagin in upcoming trilogy

Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor is all set to follow the footsteps of legendary actress Sridevi. The Stree actress will soon play the role of a shape-shifting Naagin. Shraddha has signed a three-film deal based on the shape-shifting Naagin.

Shraddha took to social media to share the news with fans. She wrote, “It’s an absolute delight for me to play a Naagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring and idolising Sridevi ma’am’s Nagina and Nigahen and have always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore.”

‘Nagin’ will be directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Nikhil Dwivedi under his home banner Saffron Broadcast & Media Ltd. The movie is reported to be a love story. Director Vishal Furia and actor-producer Nikhil Dwivedi plan to mount the film with some very exciting Visual FX.

Many Bollywood actresses played the role of a Nagin. We had Reena Roy’s Nagin that went on to be a super-duper hit. Next was Sridevi’s Nagina and Nigahen which broke records at the box office. Mallika Sherawat too starred in the international production ‘Hisss’. Ekta Kapoor’s television serial Naagin is a hit till this date. Fans just cannot wait to see Shraddha Kapoor in the role of a Nagin soon.
