‘Arjun Reddy’ fame, Vijay Deverakonda starrer ‘Fighter’ is one of the most anticipated films of the year. The movie is being hailed as a pan India extravaganza which is being helmed by Puri Jagannath. According to the latest reports, Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty has been now roped in for the role of Vijay’s onscreen father.

Bollywood hunk, Suniel Shetty has established himself in the South film industry as well. He was last seen sharing the screen space with Rajinikanth in ‘Darbar’. He will now be seen portraying a father in the upcoming Telugu film, ‘Fighter’. Reportedly, his character will appear in the flashback parts and has a limited screen presence in the flick. Although this update is creating a strong buzz on social media, the makers and the actor have not confirmed the news.
The film’s shooting was stalled due to the COVID-19 lockdown. Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday had announced about collaborating the film in February. Apparently, Vijay will be seen portraying the role of a boxer, while not much is known about Ananya’s character.
