3.5 magnitude earthquake hits 98km north of Mumbai
Maharashtra: After 3.5 magnitude earthquake near Mumbai; Earthquake with Magnitude 3.6 Strikes near Nashik
An earthquake of magnitude 3.5 on the Richter scale occurred in Maharashtra on Friday. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the earthquake tremors were felt 98-km north of Mumbai, at 03:57 am.

Later an earthquake of magnitude 3.6 on the Richter scale occurred 100 kilometres west of Nashik in Maharashtra.
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.6, Occurred on September 11, 07:06:01 IST, Lat: 19.99 and Long: 72.83, Depth: 5 Km, Location: 100km W of Nashik, Maharashtra,” the National Centre for Seismology tweeted.

There have been no immediate reports of any loss to life and property as yet.
Maharashtra has been facing a number of low-intensity earthquakes for many days now. The occurrence of the earthquakes has continuously increased in the State from the beginning of September. More than 6-7 light intensity earthquakes have occurred since September 4. They were mostly felt in the areas around Mumbai and Nashik.
