Former President Pranab Mukherjee Passed Away At The Age Of 84
Former President Of India, Pranab Mukherjee Breathed His Last At The Age Of 84. His Son Confirmed The News On Twitter Today
Earlier this week there were reports that Pranab Mukherjee was hospitalised due to his deteriorated health condition. In an unfortunate turn of events the former President passed away on Monday i.e August 31. Apparently, his condition declined in the morning and he breathed his last at the age of 84.
Reportedly, Pranab Mukherjee was being treated for a lung infection and he was admitted to the Army’s Research and Referral Hospital. His renal parameters were said to have improved and he continued to be in a deep coma for last few days. He was kept on a ventilator support. Confirming about the sad news, his son, Abhijit Mukerjee took to his official Twitter handle and wrote, “With a Heavy Heart , this is to inform you that my father Shri #PranabMukherjee has just passed away inspite of the best efforts of Doctors of RR Hospital & prayers ,duas & prarthanas from people throughout India ! I thank all of You Folded hands.”

Mukherjee was the 13th President of India from 2012 to 2017. Besides serving two terms as the Finance Minister, he was also appointed as the Commerce Minister in the year 1993.
