COVID-19 Pandemic: India Records Single Day High Of 77,266 cases
India witnesses record-breaking 75K COVID-19 cases in a single day, tally rises to 33.87 lakh
India today recorded a new single-day high of 77,266 COVID-19 cases. This takes the total tally to 33,87,500. According to data from the Union Health Ministry, an additional 1,057 new deaths brought the overall death count to 61,529. But the recovery rate is also rising.
The number of recoveries zoomed to 25.23 lakhs. 56,013 persons were discharged from medical supervision in the last 24 hours. India’s Recovery Rate now is 76.24 percent.

“In the past five months, more than 3/4 of cases have recovered and less than 1/4 are active now. Effective implementation of the Centre”s strategic and graded TEST-TRACK-TREAT approach has led to higher recoveries and lower fatality,” the Union Health Ministry tweeted.

The Recovery Rate in Delhi (90%), followed by Tamil Nadu (85%), Bihar (83.80%). The country as of Thursday now has 7.26 lakh cases under active medical care.
Maharashtra remains the hardest-hit state in the pandemic, accounting for 7,33,568 cases. Maharashtra is followed by Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka.
The United States Of America is by far the hardest-hit country in the world. The country passed milestone of 1,80,000 coronavirus deaths on Thursday, according to Johns Hopkins University. The US is followed by Brazil.
