Bomb Threat at Thalapathy Vijay’s Chennai Residence
After Rajinikanth, Bomb hoax at Thalapathy Vijay’s Chennai home; police tracks down caller
South megastar Rajinikanth received a hoax bomb threat a few weeks back. We now have Thalapathy Vijay too receiving a bomb threat by an anonymous caller. At around midnight on July 4, an anonymous call was made to the Tamil Nadu Police Master Control Room. The caller claimed that a bomb has been planted at actor Vijay‘s Saligramam residence in Chennai.
The Chennai police soon swung into action and proceed to search the entire night at the BIGIL star’s home. But there was no bomb found. On investigation, the caller was identified as a 21-year-old man with psycho-social disabilities. He was left off with a warning.
He has made such calls in the past to former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, Puducherry Chief Minister Narayanaswamy and Puducherry Governor Kiran Bedi. He’d call 100, make an anonymous threat and hang up,” Marakkanam Inspector was quoted in News Minute report.
The inspector further added, “He’d call 100, make an anonymous threat and hang up. When we traced his call and his location, he admitted to doing it himself. Although he does not own a cell phone, he took a family member’s mobile phone to place the call.”
On the work front, Vijay currently awaits the release of his upcoming Tamil film Master. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film stars Vijay in the role of a college professor. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing the antagonist. Malavika Mohanan is playing the role of the female lead. The film also stars Andrea Jeremiah in a key role.
