Palak Sidhwani and Raj Anadkat portray the role of Sonu and Tappu on the show
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has gained massive favor with the audiences. Almost two decades after it was first aired, it still continues to hold a special place in the hearts of the viewers. Palak Sidhwani and Raj Anadkat portray the role of Sonu and Tappu on the show and fans are in love with their camaraderie. However, Palak Sidhwani has now revealed that she is not friends with Raj Anadkat off-screen.
Palak revealed this in an interview with TellyChakkar. She said, “ See there are 80 people on the set, and it’s not necessary to be friends with each one of them, in fact in your office I’m sure you’re not friends with everyone who works there right? Raj and I, we share a professional relationship and there’s no fight as such, it’s just that I get along with Samay (Gogi), Kush (Goli) and Azhar (Pinku) more, but that doesn’t change the fact that Raj and I share a cordial relationship and he’s my working partner”.
In addition, the actress earlier revealed to TOI that she had picked Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah over another show. “I had forgotten about it and suddenly I got a message on my whats app in the month of May saying that the auditions were still on. He had also sent a script with the message and I really liked the role. I was asked to prepare for the audition and come the next day. That time all my friends were looking out for a job as the exams were over, out of pressure I was also doing the same. Though, I wanted to make a career in acting but I always wanted to have a backup plan. I was giving regular interviews. I gave my auditions and I had this instinct that I had done good. After a week I got a call that I was shortlisted. At the same time I was shortlisted for another show on another channel, but I wanted to do Taarak.”
