Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and others pay tribute to the Indian army personnel martyred in Ladakh
India was left shell shocked as reports of 20 Indian Army personnel losing their lives in a clash with Chinese soldiers filtered in. The India China faceoff took place Monday, 15th June 2020 at Galwan Valley in Ladakh. As per Army reports, there have been casualties on both sides. This news has now created an uproar on social media. Many paid their last respects to the martyrs.
Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Akshay Kumar have taken to social media to offer their last respects to the martyred ones.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “ज़रा आँख में भर लो पानी ; जो शहीद हुए हैं उनकी , ज़रा याद करो क़ुर्बानी ..they sacrificed their lives to protect our country , to keep us safe and secure. SALUTE Indian Army Officers and Jawans ! JAI HIND.”
Akshay Kumar shared the pictures of the martyred jawans in a tweet that reads, “Deeply saddened by the death of our bravehearts in #GalwanValley. We will forever be indebted to them for their invaluable service to the nation. My heartfelt condolences to their families.”

Sonu Sood shared the picture of Col. Santosh Babu who is among the martyred personnel and writes, “Santosh babu.. you will remain in our hearts forever. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. We Salute you and your family for what you did for our nation.”
