Coronavirus Updates: India records 11,929 cases in last 24 Hours, death toll at 9195
The total number of cases in India has now gone up to 3,20,922, and the death toll is at 9,195.
On Sunday, India has recorded the highest single-day spike of 11,929 new Covid-19 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country has gone up to 3,20,922, with death tolls of 9195, according to the Ministry of Health.
On June 12, India became the fourth country in the world after the United States, Brazil, and Russia. The total number of COVID cases has surpassed 77.6 lakh, globally, while the death rate has crossed 4.29 lakh.
According to the health ministry data, Maharashtra has so far recorded 1,04,568 cases, followed by Tamil Nadu (42,687) Delhi (38,958) and Gujarat (23,038).

On Saturday, the COVID-19 cases in India crossed the 3 lakh mark as the country registered 11,458 fresh cases in the 24 hours beginning Friday morning.
Meanwhile, this morning, the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan will be meeting the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at 11 am to examine the national capital’s response to coronavirus. The meeting comes two days after the Supreme Court pulled up the Delhi government over the “horrendous, horrific and pathetic” condition in the city.
The meeting will also be attended by the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, Dr. Randeep Guleria, Director of AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), and members of the SDMA (State Disaster Management Authority), tweeted by the Union Home Minister’s Office on Saturday.
