Health Ministry issues guidelines for domestic and international travel
Health Ministry Issues New Rules For Domestic and International Travel: All You Need To Know.
India is all set for the resumption of air travel after nearly two-months. The flights were suspended following lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has decided domestic flight resumption from 25 May. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has issued guidelines for international and domestic travel.
Given the ongoing fight against Covid-19, however, the movement of people by air is conditional. There are various restrictions in terms of baggage, arrival time, security check requirements, transport to the airport, and check-in facilities. Some of the guidelines include wearing face covers/masks during the entire journey. Following social distancing norms and thermal screening done by airports.
Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri tweeted,
Latest guidelines on domestic & international travel have been issued by @MoHFW_INDIA.
I hope travellers strictly follow these self-regulatory norms & strengthen India’s hands in this fight against COVID19. Remember, each one of us is a soldier against the pandemic.@MoCA_GoI pic.twitter.com/xVbTG1K44n
