Varun Dhawan’s Aunt Passes Away, Actor Shares Heartbreaking Post

Varun Dhawan on Saturday shared that his maternal aunt has passed away. She lived in Chicago, USA. Mourning the demise of his aunt the actor took to his social media handles to express his grief. He shared an emotional post with an adorable picture. In the picture Varun is seen hugging his maasi.

Along with the photo, Varun not only penned a heartfelt message but also wrote Gayatri mantra, “Love you maa si rip ️ ॐ ॐ ॐ ॐ भूर् भुवः स्वः तत् सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्ॐ ॐ भूर् भुवः स्वः तत् सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्ॐ ॐ भूर् भुवः स्वः तत् सवितुर्वरेण्यं भर्गो देवस्य धीमहि धियो यो नः प्रचोदयात्”.

Varun was soon flooded with condolence messages from co-stars and colleagues. They expressed their grief in the comments section. Sonam wrote: “Omg. I’m so sorry, Varun Dhawan” whereas Sophie commented: “So sorry for your loss, Varun Dhawan. Love and prayers to the family. May her soul rest in peace.” Dia Mirza and filmmaker Punit Malhotra used folded hand emoticons.

On the work front, Varun will be seen in David Dhawan’s ‘Coolie No 1’. The movie features Sara Ali Khan opposite the Kalank star. The comedy-drama was slated to hit the silver screens on May 1, 2020. However, the film couldn’t release as the cinema halls are shut due to the COVID-19 lockdown.
