CM Uddhav Thackeray: 40,000 Acres Of Land Will Be Allotted For Businesses
The CM also announced that more than 40,000 acres of land will be allotted for businesses
CM Uddhav Thackeray addressed the nation on lockdown guidelines today. He stated that the green zones and orange zones have been permitted to open up with certain restrictions. However, in the red zones and containment zones, the measures cannot be relaxed. In addition, he also stated that 50,000 businesses have been given permission to open up till now.
The CM also announced that more than 40,000 acres of land will be allotted for businesses. While there won’t be any conditions for green industries, there is a mandate that no industries should cause pollution.
He also added that maintaining the green zone is important. Moreover, converting the red zones into green zones has to be a priority. CM Uddhav Thackeray acknowledged that patients in the state, particularly in Mumbai, are on a rise. Till now, there are 19,967 COVID19 positive patients in Mumbai. However, about 5,000 of the patients have been cured. He emphasized that the seriousness of this disease lies in the fact that for critical patients there is no cure as of yet. The best way forward is through precautions.
The CM also urged migrants to stay where they are. Since train services have resumed, he stated that they will be able to go home soon. He shared that the government has arranged the safe return of over 5 lakh migrants.
In addition, the CM stated that religious festivals, congregations will not be allowed.
As per the State Health Department, 2033 more COVID-19 cases and 51 deaths have been reported in Maharashtra today. There are a total number of 35058 cases in the state right now. There have been 1249 deaths so far and 25392 active cases.
