Big Hit Entertainment — which currently manages BTS and TXT — has finally announced to reschedule BTS’s ‘Map of the Soul’ tour due to the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic. The announcement of rescheduling BTS’s ‘Map of the Soul’ was made on Tuesday (April 28, 2020).
The much-awaited ‘Map of the Soul’ was supposed to begin in April 2020 but it has been cancelled as almost every part of the world are currently practising self-isolation over COVID-19.
In its latest announcement, Big Hit Entertainment has mentioned that they will completly reschedule the tour and will come up with a new schedule as soon as the condition across the world returns to normalcy.
Big Hit Entertainment stated that the decision to reschedule BTS’s ‘Map of The Soul’ tour has been made keeping in mind the health and safety of their artists and fans in foremost consideration.
“We have devoted considerable time to prepare the best performances possible, and we hope to express our appreciation of your patience by striving to deliver the best shows. With sincerity and commitment to transparency, we will inform you of any and all further changes and continue to provide updates,” Big Hit Entertainment stated.
“Due to the nature of BTS concerts involving travel by thousands of international fans no matter where the performances are held, it is also difficult to resume the tour with the current strict restrictions on cross-border movement still in place. Moreover, it is impossible at this time to predict when the first performance marking the start of the tour will be able to begin,” BigHit Entertainment stated.
For the unversed, BTS’s “Map of the Soul” tour was slated to begin in Seoul on April 11, 12, 18, and 19, but the concerts were cancelled due to COVID-19.
