Video: Kanika Kapoor spotted singing at party in Lucknow

A few hours back, the popular singer Kanika Kapoor became the first Bollywood celebrity to test positive for Coronavirus. There were reports that said, the singer had flown down to Lucknow from London a few days ago and hosted a dinner party in a lavish hotel.

Now, a video of the ‘Baby Doll’ singer shared by India TV has been doing rounds on the internet that shows the singer singing in an open lawn, while many other guests enjoying themselves, watching and applauding for the performance. Along with her, the former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, who has now gone into self-quarantine can be seen.

Apart from the video above, photos of the singer partying have also gone viral. In the pictures, Kanika can be seen posing with many people including politician Vasundhara Raje and actress Naina Balsaver.

Talking to Aaj Tak today i.e March 20, Kanika’s father Rajiv Kapoor said that her daughter came in contact with around 400 people at the three various parties in Lucknow. However, the singer has refused her father’s claims and said that she was a part of only one family get-together.

According to a tweet by India Today news anchor, Poulomi Saha stated that Kanika Kapoor hid the fact that she was infected with the virus and was reportedly put up in a lavish hotel in the city. In Lucknow, “she attended a party with at least 100 people present.”

However, she dismissed these allegations as well and she told India Today TV, “I am an educated and hardworking girl. I was part of the scanning process at the airport. I also called the CMO to check me and filled all forms at the airport.”

Kanika Kapoor also informed her fans about her well-being in an Instagram post and said that she is feeling okay, but has a mild fever and normal flu.

Hello everyone, For the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19. My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway aswell.
